Invest in Yourself!

You've got clothes coming out your ears, racks, hangers, labels, and everything else needed to run your direct sales business.
Now what?! What about yourself? That's right, invest in yourself too! Not everyone has the God given talent of selling ice to an Eskimo. Not many of us are 24/7 optimists. Sometimes we need a little help (or a lot! lol)

Here are some resources I have found very helpful in my journey into direct sales.

Online Courses

My biggest resource, and one I continue to use almost daily is Brenda Ster's Sassy Suite . Brenda's website offers online courses on Facebook live parties, Pinterest, Instagram, and much more.  She also offers a great group page on Facebook where you can interact with other socialites.   When you sign up for her newsletter, you will receive her free eBook, The 3 P's of Social Content.

Self Help Books

Speaking of eBooks, there are thousands of great self-help books available to suit your needs.  Many of them free, or available to borrow from the Kindle library.

Be A Direct Selling Superstar by Mary Christiansen is a great start.  Learn to set goals, manage time and money and much more!

Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action by Simon Sinek is a good book for anyone looking to build a team.  To have a team, you need to be a great leader.  I was fortunate to get to see Simon Sinek talk at LuLaRoe's annual convention this year.  When he said " I can prove to you biologically that women make better leaders than men. Not my opinion; I will prove it to you."  I was hooked!

Successful Women Think Differently: 9 Habits to Make You Happier, Healthier, and More Resilient  by Valorie Burton .  Learn who you really are, and get the tools, understanding, and knowledge to succeed with this book.

One of the biggest things I struggle with in becoming a business owner, is putting my phone away.  I am a slave to the Facebook dings and email beeps.  After being a stay-at-home mom for 10+ years learning how to balance business and family has been hard!  When I started this book I pretty much started crying within the first chapter.  I don't recommend starting this book while you are at the gym!

Hands Free Mama: A Guide to Putting Down the Phone, Burning the To-Do List, and Letting Go of Perfection to Grasp What Really Matters!  by Rachel Macy Stafford

I hope these help you in the right direction!  Are there any resources you love and use?  Feel free to share them!
